More brands commit to PCR (post-consumer recycled) content, yet buyers are often misled by unsubstantiated claims.

First, recycled content must be traceable. Legitimate suppliers provide third-party certifications (e.g. ISO 14021-type claims, GRS) and disclose batch sources of recycled resin.

Second, PCR typically costs 10–30% more than virgin resin and fluctuates with scrap supply. Lock minimum usage and long-term agreements in the contract.

Third, dark or frosted finishes hide batch-to-batch color variance better; light transparent looks limit the PCR ratio. Specify appearance requirements clearly at selection.
